About GC Studio
GC Studio (Ocean Art by Lynn) was founded in 1998, started of as a hobby. Kind of like a traveling circus, the artist works where she's at. As a navy family they moved every so often. Always near a coastline, where her husband went out to sea. Currently living on the coast of Zeebrugge, Belgium.
Lynn was born and raised in Rotterdam, always known as a water-loving city girl. She developed a deeper passionate love for oceans and beaches, while living in the Caribbean for over ten years.
The waters surrounding the Caribbean islands are mesmerizing and radiate immense power, their strength and incredible blue colors inspired her. She started off reusing all treasures cast ashore. Making unique and original ocean art. Her art got sold in local tourist stores and at the cruise terminal.
Whether it was glittering driftwood or sparkling sea glass. A new purpose was found to make others see the beauty as well. While beach combing she would always be picking up single use plastics and other litter to dispose of in the proper way. Giving something back like cleaning beaches of waste is her way of 'thank you' for all those art materials she found while beach combing.
The studio is wherever she finds inspiration. Her inspiration and subject stays the same. The big blue surrounding us which is full of mystery and adventures.
